After getting invited to the Portsmouth Invitational, a few Clemson basketball seniors had an opportunity to prove themselves in front of NBA scouts.

One of those Clemson seniors had himself a day in his first showing at the Portsmouth Invitational which is a yearly event in which scouts show up to watch these veteran collegiate players.

That player was Viktor Lakhin.

The Cincinnati transfer spent his final year of college ball at Clemson where he had himself a nice season and earned some recognition on a professional level. He has good size and can shoot the ball from deep which is exactly what scouts look for from big men nowadays.

All he did in his first game at Portsmouth was score 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting and 2-for-3 makes from deep to go along with four rebounds and two blocks. Heck of a performance.

As you can see from the highlights above, he was a standout performer and he was doing all the right things for his team. He was essentially perfect from the field outside of one missed 3-pointer and that had to make the scouts drool. He's not the craziest athlete, but he can space the floor out and put pressure on opposing defenders to step out to the perimeter and open the lane.

If he can convert on over 50 percent of his field goals, he's incredibly effective. But going 8-for-9 from the floor is almost unheard of for a guy who doesn't just live in the paint.

We'll see if this earns him more NBA draft recognition because, honestly, this was a heck of a showing for the Clemson big man with more action left to prove himself this weekend.
