Official visit season is officially over and that means the dead period is upon us. Clemson football fans got to watch as their favorite team, led by Dabo Swinney, landed even more blue-chippers over the past few weeks, vaulting the 2026 class into the top-five range.

And the Tigers are still not done.

There are a handful of elite recruits who seem to be on the verge of committing and four-star defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil is one of them. He recently narrowed his list down, including Clemson, and he took a trip to see Dabo's program on June 13.

During that visit, he decided to take a shot at an SEC power which was one of his top schools earlier in the process.

Although this happened about a week ago, it somehow slipped through the cracks.

Stancil was high on Tennessee earlier in his recruiting process before releasing his top schools and taking his visits and he didn't hold back when posting about his trip to Clemson. He said "coulda been in Knoxville today but nahh Clemson better."

Honestly, he's not wrong.

Clemson is one of the best campuses around and while he probably thought he could end up in Knoxville earlier in the process, it's clear that he's slowly falling in love with the ACC powerhouse.

As it stands after official visits, Clemson is the favorite to land Stancil who's the No. 157 overall recruit and 20th-best defensive lineman in the 2026 class, per the 247Sports Composite. He's also the No. 10 prospect from the state of North Carolina.

The Tigers will have to beat out NC State, Penn State, Miami, and Georgia for his services.

But they won't have to worry about Tennessee (because, according to him, Clemson's better).
