The 2025 season feels dangerously close now that spring ball is in the books for Clemson football.

The Tigers wrapped up their spring on Saturday afternoon with the annual scrimmage and while it wasn't the original scoring system, the game was still fun for fans with plenty of excitement from the usual suspects as well as newcomers like Tristan Smith who stole the show.

Now that spring ball is in the books, the next task is welcoming the non-early enrollees to campus over the summer after dealing with potentially some post-spring attrition. Then, it's fall camp followed by the season opener against LSU in one of the most anticipated non-conference games of the season.

Brian Kelly vs. Dabo Swinney should be a movie and we'll see if the former's usual opening-week struggles continue this season against a vastly improved, on paper, Clemson team.

Want to feel even closer to the start of the 2025 season? According to FanDuel Sportsbook, some Week 1 college football spreads have been revealed and we know what the line will be for Clemson vs. LSU, as of early April.

Clemson opens as a 2.5-point favorite against LSU to open the season and I'm actually surprised it's not even wider of a spread. The Tigers are hosting LSU to start the season and Memorial Stadium will be rocking. Plus, Kelly usually struggles in these early-season matchups against fellow Power Four teams, especially ones that are expected to be contenders.

Swinney and the Tigers are likely to be ranked in the top five when the season starts and LSU will also likely be ranked so this matchup will have everyone's attention.

And if the line stays at 2.5 points, I'm #ALLIN on Clemson.
