What a busy offseason it's been around college basketball. We've seen dozens of elite players hit the transfer portal and a lot of them are coming to the ACC. That's bad news for Clemson basketball.

While the Tigers themselves have landed some elite talent from the transfer portal like Nick Davidson and Jestin Porter, they have also watched as a few other ACC teams have improved drastically.

Obviously Duke is going to be Duke and they've done a great job with their roster this offseason after losing Cooper Flagg to the NBA. The usual contenders will be there, but don't sleep on NC State under new head coach Will Wade who just landed one of the top transfers in Texas Tech's Darrion Williams who just committed to the Wolfpack on Thursday.

The Wolfpack are also in the running for PJ Haggerty who is the top guard left in the transfer portal although some believe that this addition of Williams spoils those plans.

Either way, the ACC just got a whole lot tougher.

We've seen NC State turn into a legitimate national contender this offseason thanks to Wade and both Miami and Virginia have also improved. This means that the ACC isn't going to be as much of a walk in the park as it was this past season with very few contenders outside of Duke, Clemson, and Louisville.

The ACC should be a ton better next season with all of these teams improving to go along with this past season's contenders and Brad Brownell is going to have his hands full.
