Another NFL Sunday is in the books, and another impressive game from a former Clemson legend wide receiver.

Representing Clemson well in the NFL, current Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins turned in another great game on Sunday. The former Clemson Tiger recorded seven catches, 121 receiving yards, and two touchdowns despite the loss to the Bears on Sunday. Higgins and his fellow receiver, All-Pro Ja’Marr Chase (6 catches, 111 receiving yards), were certainly not to blame for the Bengals’ loss.

Hauling in two great catches to reach the endzone, Higgins had not one but two great catches on Sunday. The first was a 44-yard touchdown catch, where Higgins “Moss’d” Bears’ secondary player Nahshon Wright. Next in the third quarter, Higgins made a full body extension to secure the catch, a two-yard touchdown reception, before falling to the ground, getting the ball across the pylon before hitting the ground.

It is now back-to-back weeks that not only has Higgins reeled in a touchdown catch, but it is now back-to-back weeks that Higgins has hauled in a 44-yard touchdown catch for the Bengals, doing so last game against the Jets on October 26.

The seventh all-time leader in receiving yards (2,448 receiving yards) and tied for first all-time in receiving touchdowns (27 touchdowns), Higgins (2017-2019) made a name for himself before ever taking a step on an NFL field. Selected as the 33rd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Higgins was a sensational pick for the Bengals at the start of the second round of the 2020 draft.

Since suiting up for Cincinnati, Higgins has recorded 362 catches, 5,076 receiving yards, and 40 touchdowns over 79 games played in his six-year career. Through nine games this season, the former wideout for Clemson has accumulated 32 catches, 481 yards, and six touchdowns so far in 2025. Dealing with quarterback changes and a struggling offense under former starting quarterback Jake Browning, Higgins has still managed to post some decent numbers and should continue his recent trend of high performance with the veteran Joe Flacco, who is becoming more comfortable in this Bengals offense.

How much can Higgins produce for this struggling Cincinnati team? The Bengals are often trailing in games, forcing them to throw the ball more, which is good news for Clemson football fans/Higgins fans.
