When asked directly about the possibility of making changes to his coaching staff during the season, Dabo Swinney repeatedly deflected, emphasizing his focus remains on immediate improvement.
In response to the first question about staff changes for the rest of the season, Swinney said, "No man. We’re just trying to get ready and see if we can do a better job as players and coaches."
When pressed on the topic again later in the press conference, he narrowed his focus even further. "I’m just focused on having a good Monday practice," Swinney stated. "That’s all I’m focused on."
Swinney also acknowledged shortcomings in the offensive game plan against SMU, noting there are always calls one would like to have back. "I don’t think we did a good job of calling it (Riley)," he said. "We just didn’t do a good enough job of packaging some things together for him (Vizzina)."
