As the offseason rolls along, Clemson football fans are tuning into the recruiting landscape and it's a perfect time to pay attention as official visit season is about to begin.
The Tigers have secured 15 commitments in their 2026 class already with the most recent coming from in-state four-star Kentavion Anderson who happens to be the second-highest-ranked pledge for Dabo Swinney in the cycle. Momentum is on Clemson's side heading into the first official visit weekend on May 30 with the No. 4-ranked recruiting class.
May 30 is going to be a massive recruiting day for the Tigers and I just wrote about that on Wednesday as 30 prospects are expected to be on campus and 20 of them are four or five-stars.
One of those visiting four-stars is Zavion Griffin-Haynes.
The four-star edge rusher from Rolesville, N.C., just trimmed his list to four and it's all of the programs he has official visits scheduled with, led by Clemson. He'll be on campus on May 30 with about 29 other Tiger targets and this is a prime opportunity for Swinney to lock him down and get him in the class.
Michigan, Nebraska, and Florida State round out his top four and they'll get the subsequent official visits, but the hope here is that Clemson's trip blows him away and he commits on the spot and doesn't take the rest of his visits.
That's easier said than done, but this is a very winnable top four as Clemson has the most recent success of the group and is expected to be the lone national title contender in that top four in 2025.
Griffin-Haynes also has to realize that if you come to Clemson as a four or five-star defensive lineman, there's a good chance you're making it to the NFL.
He's ranked the No. 256 overall recruit and the 24th-best edge rusher on the 247Sports Composite.
