Clemson Softball upset in first game of Tuscaloosa Regional
Clemson Softball was defeated 6-2 by Southeastern Louisiana on Friday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Tigers were unable to generate enough hits to bring their runners home, which has been their prime struggle all season.
The Tigers will play an elimination game today against USC Upstate at 2:00 PM in John and Ann Rhoads Stadium. This is the first meeting of the year between the two programs.
The winner between Clemson and Upstate will face the loser between Southeastern Louisiana and Alabama.
Clemson Baseball clinches the Atlantic Division
Clemson Baseball defeated Boston College 11-6 on Friday to clinch the series. The Tigers also clinched the ACC Atlantic Division. They are 19-10 in the conference. A win today in Game 3 would secure 20 conference wins in each of head coach Erik Bakich’s two seasons at the helm of the program.
North Carolina clinched the regular season ACC championship with a 6-4 victory over Duke on Friday night. It is the Tar Heels' first regular season title since 2018.
Game 3 between the Tigers and Eagles is scheduled for noon today at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
