It’s the Women’s turn for Clemson Track & Field at NCAA Championships
The Outdoor NCAA Track & Field Championships featured the Men on Wednesday, so on Thursday the focus turned to the Women.
The Tigers’ 4x100 relay team advanced to this weekend’s finals.
The team includes Shantae Foreman, Ockera Myrie, Aleksandra Stoilova, and Antoinette Van Der Merwe.
Their time of 43:26 set a new Clemson record for the event.
Oneka Wilson finished 12th in the 100-meter hurdles and was named Second-Team All-American.
Gladys Chepngetich earned Second-Team All-American honors with a 16th-place finish in the 800 meters.
Ken’Naria Gadson was 14th in the 400-meter hurdles and also made Second-Team All-American.
Day 3 at the event returns to the conclusion of the Men’s events. Tarees Rhoden will be running in the finals of the 800 meters late this evening just after 10:00 PM Eastern time (the championship is in Eugene, Oregon).
ACC announces 2024-25 Football Bowl schedule
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced their bowl affiliations for the 2024-25 season on Thursday. Three games will be broadcast on ABC, one on CBS, with the balance on ESPN.
There are no significant changes to the games this season. The highest-profile games outside the College Football Playoff continue to be the Pop-Tart Bowl, the Holiday Bowl, the Gator Bowl, and the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
The Sun Bowl, one of the lone non-Disney broadcasted bowl games, will be played on the afternoon of New Year’s Eve. The Gator and the Duke’s Mayo will both be played after New Year’s Eve this season.
Six games will be played on or before Saturday, December 28. The Holiday has not announced a date and time yet.
The only games scheduled for New Year’s Day are in the CFP semifinals: the Peach Bowl, the Rose Bowl, and the Sugar Bowl.
