Clemson Football alums perform well at the NFL Combine

The NFL Combine is underway in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the attendees from Clemson Football are representing themselves and the university well so far.

Xavier Thomas ran an official 4.62-second 40-yard dash, and he wasn’t even 100%.

Ruke Orhorhoro was one of the brightest surprises of the combine. He finished high in several categories for the defensive tackle position group.

Performances like that get players drafted higher than expected.

Here is Tyler Davis doing the Four Bag Drill. To see a man his size move with this kind of agility just reinforces that I would trip over every single bag if I tried this.

Jeremiah Trotter also got on the field for some work.

It was a good day for the Tigers in Indy.

Fun note from Thursday’s spring practice: it sounds like Tyler Venables will be just as impactful on the sidelines and in the locker room as he could be on the field this season for the Tigers.

We probably shouldn’t be shocked that there will be more Venables in the coaching profession in the future.
