Clemson Baseball will host an NCAA Tournament Regional

We received confirmation last night that Doug Kingsmore Stadium will host a Regional in the NCAA Tournament.

Clemson Baseball will be the top seed in the Regional and host three other programs. Head coach Erik Bakich has led the Tigers to host a regional in each of his first two seasons. Clemson did not advance from their regional in 2023.

The full field for the tournament will be revealed at noon today on ESPN2.

Clemson stands a good chance of being a Top 8 seed, which means they would host a Super Regional too if they were to advance.

Florida State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, and Virginia are ACC programs that will also host a Regional. East Carolina and Georgia are nearby schools that will also host.

Arizona, Arkansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UC Santa Barbara will host the other Regionals.

Here are the teams who have earned automatic bids.

Clemson Men’s Golf finishes 22nd at NCAA Championship

Clemson Men’s Golf finished the third round of stroke play at +42 at the Omni La Costa North Course in Carlsbad, California. They finished in 22nd place overall. Since only the top fifteen teams advance to the fourth round of stroke play, the Tigers season is over.

Virginia, Florida State, North Carolina, and Georgia Tech are among the programs advancing. Wake Forest, Notre Dame, and future ACC members California, Stanford, and SMU did not advance.

Andrew Swanson will continue individually today in a tiebreaker. If he wins, he will be able to continue through the fourth round. He is the only Clemson player advancing.

Swanson would only continue through today. After the fourth round of stroke play, the championship reduces to the top eight teams in a knockout-style bracket to determine the champion.
