The NBA passed on drafting PJ Hall, but he signed a free-agent deal

Despite the belief by many that PJ Hall would be taken at some point in the second round of the NBA Draft, his name was not announced at any point yesterday.

Following the draft, Hall announced to his friends and family that he was signing a contract with the Denver Nuggets.

This will reunite Hall with Clemson Men’s Basketball alum Hunter Tyson, who was a second-round draft pick of the Nuggets last season.

Both Tyson and Hall will likely be playing for Denver in the Summer League this season.

Tyson spent time this season with the Grand Rapids Gold, which is the G-League affiliate for the Nuggets. It is reasonable to assume that Hall will likely spend some time in the G-League during his rookie season as well.

McKenzie Clark plays her way to more pro softball

Clemson Softball alum had a very impressive rookie campaign with AUX. As a result, she is being invited back to compete in the AU Pro Softball season.

Clark will be joining Valerie Cagle, who was announced to have signed with AU Pro earlier in the month.

Other news and notes from around Clemson athletics:

Clemson Football has announced new jersey numbers for the summer enrollees.

TE Christian Bentancur, No. 87

DT Hevin Brown-Shuler, No. 42

CB Ashton Hampton, No. 23

LB C.J. Kubah-Taylor, No. 26

DE Darien Mayo, No. 49

WR T.J. Moore, No. 1

LB Drew Woodaz, No. 13

Congratulations to Marissa & Trevor Lawrence! They are expecting their first child.

Personally, I am curious if Dabo Swinney will make an exception to his normal rules and offer Baby Lawrence a scholarship before June 1st of the summer before his junior year in high school. Like, maybe tomorrow.
