Ousmane Sylla wins MAC Hermann Award

The MAC Hermann Award is annually given to the most outstanding men’s and women’s college soccer players in the nation. It is the equivalent of the Heisman Trophy for college football.

This season’s award has been bestowed upon Ousmane Sylla from Clemson Men’s Soccer.

Sylla led the Tigers to their fourth national championship in 2023, scoring 13 goals and 10 assists. He scored the game-winner in the national championship match against Notre Dame.

MAC stands for Missouri Athletic Club and it is named after Bob Hermann, who was an executive with the North American Soccer League.

Sylla is the fourth player in program history to win the MAC Hermann.
