Six Clemson Football players invited to the NFL Combine

The NFL has extended invitations to six players from Clemson Football to participate in the 2024 NFL Combine.

The combine will be February 26th through March 4th in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am surprised that offensive lineman Will Putnam and safety Jalyn Phillips did not receive an invitation. I am mildly surprised Sheridan Jones wasn't invited but I don't think it is as surprising as the first two names.

ACC expanded, so the ACC Kickoff has expanded too

With the latest additions to the Atlantic Coast Conference, the league will now have 17 teams participating in football this coming fall.

As a result of the expansion, the conference will now expand ACC Kickoff to four days.

The event will be held July 22-25. It will be held at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown. Florida State will be featured on Day 1. Clemson Football will take the stage on the final day.

One player we know will not be attending ACC Kickoff with his program will be Damien Alford. Syracuse has dismissed Alford, their leading receiver from a season ago.

Several sources on X have confirmed that Alford will be allowed to continue academically at Syracuse to earn his degree, so we know the reasoning was not related to performance in the classroom. The Orange are transitioning to new head coach Fran Brown, who is replacing longtime coach Dino Babers.

Clemson Women’s Lacrosse is ranked 21st in this week’s poll from the IWLCA.

Andy Katz has named PJ Hall his national player of the week for his performances against North Carolina and Syracuse.

The ACC has named Joe Girard the Player of the Week for the same reasons.

Two players of the week isn't bad at all.
