Clemson elevates case with ACC to the North Carolina Supreme Court
The State’s Chapel Fowler posted in X yesterday that Clemson plans to appeal Wednesday’s ruling in Charlotte to the Supreme Court of North Carolina.
The judge in the case denied the school’s request to dismiss the case, which was filed by the ACC against Clemson in North Carolina.
Clemson had filed a case against the ACC in South Carolina first.
Florida State took similar action in North Carolina when their motion to dismiss was also denied in the ACC’s lawsuit against the Seminoles.
This action, by default, will introduce a pause in the case in Charlotte. The case being heard in South Carolina continues today. The judge is expected to rule on Clemson’s request for summary judgement and the conference’s request to dismiss the case.
Clemson sets new record with athletes on ACC Honor Roll
Clemson Athletics announced on X that 435 student athletes were named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
This is up from 374 last year, which was a school record at the time. Students qualified if they earned a 3.0 GPA over the course of the entire year that they played a varsity sport.
