Elite 2025 recruit projected to commit to Clemson

Steve Wiltfong is a 247 analyst who is usually solid with his Crystal Ball projections, so when someone is ‘Fonged’, people pay attention.

Yesterday Wiltfong projected 2025 cornerback Jontae Gilbert to select the Tigers. That was followed up by a projection by Cory Fravel.

Gilbert is 6’-1” and 185 pounds. He plays at Douglass High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a 4-star in the 247Sports Composite and is ranked 28th overall in the nation.

He also holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, and USC, among others.

Transfer portal target visits Clemson

Clemson Football received a visit from their latest offensive line target in the transfer portal.

The Tigers offered Addison Nichols when he was a high school prospect before he committed to Tennessee. Tiger Illustrated’s article is behind a paywall, so there are no details that can be shared, but if you’re a subscriber you can read more there.

Domonique Thomas announces his destination

Domonique ‘Quadzilla’ Thomas has announced that he will be transferring to Georgia State.

I would have loved for Thomas to stay with Clemson but assuming Will Shipley and/or Phil Mafah return, he wouldn’t be a starter unless there was an injury. I completely understand his motivation.

Watch this crazy touchdown catch by Tee Higgins.

The Bengals defeated the Vikings 27-24.

Clemson Track and Field added more signees this weekend.
