Clemson Tigers News: Early Signing Period, MLS SuperDraft, High School All-Americans

Clemson Women's Basketball 70, Air Force 54: The Tigers get back in the win column with a victory over the Falcons.
Ruby Whitehorn had 17 points and 6 rebounds. Amari Robinson had 14 points and 8 rebounds.
The Tigers return quickly with a game against East Tennessee State on Friday at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Early Signing Period opens today
The Early Signing Period for college football opens today and remains open through Friday.
Most, if not all, of Clemson Football’s verbal commitments are expected to submit their Letters of Intent today, starting at 7:00 AM Eastern.
The Tigers currently have 20 verbal commitments, and a few more could be announced today. Elyjah Thurmon and Mason Wade are the most likely to select the Tigers.
There is an outside chance that Eddrick Houston could flip from Ohio State, but that is not the most likely outcome.
Three Tigers selected in MLS SuperDraft
Clemson Men’s Soccer had three members drafted by the MLS on Tuesday night.
Brandon Parrish was drafted by DC United in the second round.
Ousmane Sylla was next to Houston Dynamo FC in the second round.
Nathan Richmond will stay in the Carolinas with Charlotte FC, drafted in the third round.
Transfer Portal Updates
Clemson Football target Addison Nichols committed to Arkansas.
Former Clemson Football safety Landen Zanders has decided to return to football and entered his name into the transfer portal.
Injuries derailed Zanders’ career with the Tigers, and he elected to retire. Now that he has had a chance to recover, he understandably wants to take advantage of his remaining eligibility.
Defensive end David Ojiegbe has decided to transfer to Pittsburgh. Ojiegbe is from the Washington DC area, so this destination is closer to home.
New Crystal Ball for Clemson Football
A new Crystal Ball projection for Clemson has been entered for 2025 prospect Isaiah Campbell. Campbell is a 4-star defensive lineman in the 247Sports Composite and ranked 66th overall in the country.
The projection was entered by Zach Blostein, a contributor for 247’s Florida State staff.
Clemson Class of 2024 features multiple All-Americans
Tis the season for high school All-American teams. Three members of Clemson Football’s Class of 2024 – Sammy Brown, Nolan Hauser, and Darien Mayo – were recognized by MaxPreps.
Clemson commit Hevin Brown-Shuler is a finalist for the All-American Bowl Man of the Year.
