Wide receiver target postpones commitment announcement
2025 wide receiver prospect Dillon Alfred had planned to announce his college destination yesterday.
Alfred visited both Clemson Football and Ole Miss this past week. He was once committed to Ole Miss before re-opening his recruitment this summer.
He seemed pointed towards the Tigers until the Rebels crept back into the picture recently.
Alfred posted yesterday that he wasn’t quite ready to decide yet. He will instead announce his verbal commitment on Friday.
Over the past weekend and visited two amazing places (Clemson and Ole Miss), both unique and special in their own way. I initially thought about making my commitment decision today. However, after thinking about it more I’m delaying my announcement until August 2nd

ESPN includes Clemson Football on Top 25 Players of this Century list
ESPN’s Bill Connelly has released a list of the Top 25 college football players of the 21st century. He has included one Clemson Football player on that compilation.
Deshaun Watson is ranked No. 16 on Connelly’s list.
"Under Dabo Swinney, Clemson was an intriguing but frustrating program when Watson showed up on campus. It was a national powerhouse, Alabama's equal, when Watson left."Bill Connelly
He named Trevor Lawrence one of the next ten players who would be ranked between 26th and 35th.
Connelly acknowledged how difficult it was to make such a short list.
"It feels like everyone on this list should be in the top 10. It feels like there are about 50 more players who should be in the top 25."Bill Connelly
Nebraska’s Ndamukong Suh topped the list, followed by Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield and Auburn’s Cam Newton.
Demonte Capehart is getting noticed
There is an advantage to flying under the radar sometimes and nationally Demonte Capehart has been poised to catch people by surprise in 2024. One scout has begun to take notice, however.
Want a 𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧 that's not appearing in any mock drafts this summer who has traits to be in Round 1 mix by next April?

An old scout once told me when evaluating D-linemen watch for how it looks when they put their hands on people & how it affects other bodies.
