The Tigers pickup a high school baseball commitment

Clemson Baseball has received a new verbal commitment from a 2025 prospect.

Daniel Margolies announced that he will play college ball for Erik Bakich at Clemson on X.

Margolies is from Cheshire, Connecticut.

He is a left-handed pitcher who also plays first base and outfield at The Cheshire Academy.

He is beginning his senior season of high school baseball and will join the Tigers for the 2026 season.

Other news and notes from around Clemson athletics:

At ACC Kickoff, the school can pick players to attend but the press can also select players. This season, the press requested DJ Uiagalelei from Florida State.

DJU attended the Kickoff twice when he played for Clemson but has declined to appear this year. He released his reasoning on X.

This is a respectful gesture that will probably play well in the locker room. CBS’s Dennis Dodd confirmed that this was DJ’s decision and not the university’s.

I also think DJU would prefer to avoid the litany of questions that would come about the Seminoles’ Week 6 matchup against his former team. I can’t blame him if that is the case. It will be one less distraction for everyone.

Clemson Softball alum Alia Logoleo has hit her first home run as a professional for the Chattanooga Steam.

The Florida Vibe won the game 8-4.

Lucas Augustsson, a transfer from East Carolina, has decided to finish his career with Clemson Men’s Golf. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

"We are pleased to have Lucas join our program. He comes to our program with considerable experience, including international experience. He is playing for the Swedish National Team today in the European Team Championships."
Jordan Byrd

Byrd led Clemson Men’s Golf to a Regional win in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and an appearance in the NCAA Championship in 2024.
