Clemson Baseball adds future first baseman from the transfer portal

Collin Priest was a Freshman All-American in 2023 by Baseball America for the Michigan Wolverines. He had 11 home runs and 30 RBIs.

Following the season, Priest entered the transfer portal. Now, he has announced his destination.

Priest will join head coach Erik Bakich and the Clemson Tigers for the 2024 season.

Priest will have three seasons of eligibility remaining. He will be the presumed starter at first base in 2024.

Indiana State outfielder Dominic Listi announced his transfer to Clemson last week.

Clemson Softball adds another transfer

Baseball wasn’t the only active program this weekend, as Clemson Softball also added a transfer.

Jamison Brockenbrough announced that she was joining the Tigers.

Brockenbrough is transferring from Tennessee and has two seasons of eligibility remaining. She started most of Tennessee’s games in 2023 as a freshman but was used sparingly as a sophomore.

Winthrop pitcher Reese Basinger announced her transfer to the Tigers last week.

Gladys Chepngetich earns Freshman of the Year honors

Clemson Track & Field’s Gladys Chepngetich has been named the ACC Freshman of the Year for outdoor track.

This means she has won the Triple Crown for the conference, as she was also the Freshman of the Year for cross country and indoor track.

Clemson Baseball placed seventeen players on the ACC All-Academic team.

The Carolina Panthers have announced that they will hold their FanFest event in Death Valley on August 1st.

The Panthers played their inaugural season at Clemson Memorial Stadium in 1995-96 while their current home venue (now called Bank Of America Stadium) was still under construction.
