Clemson Tigers News: Caden Story, Dillon Alfred, Tristan Smith
By John Chancey
Clemson Football player arrested for possession
Clemson Football defensive lineman Caden Story was recently arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
The arrest happened on July 20th. Head coach Dabo Swinney might address the situation at the ACC Kickoff on Thursday or could wait until fall camp begins on August 1st.
Clemson’s policies require Story to begin drug testing following the charges. The NCAA no longer considers marijuana a banned substance, so there will be no action taken by them.
Key 2025 prospect will visit Clemson this weekend
Clemson is closing in on the weekend they traditionally hold their All-In Cookout. In many years, it is an opportunity to host several prospects from the upcoming class before they begin their senior seasons in high school.
With the trend towards announcing verbal commitments during the summer before the senior season starts, there haven’t been as many big stories surrounding the Cookout. This year, there is at least one notable uncommitted attendee.
Wide receiver Dillon Alfred will be visiting Clemson this weekend.
Alfred was originally committed to Ole Miss before re-opening his recruitment. He then received an offer from the Tigers. Since then, he has received two Crystal Ball projections on 247Sports to select Clemson.
I wouldn’t be surprised if an announcement regarding Alfred’s commitment happened before the end of the weekend.
