Clemson’s Board Of Trustees met yesterday to approve a new budget, which includes athletics.

The Tigers saw success in many sports this past year, and the coaches for those teams are being rewarded.

Clemson Men’s Basketball coach Brad Brownell led his team to its first Elite 8 appearance in four decades.

He will be rewarded with a five-year extension and a raise.

Clemson Baseball coach Erik Bakich returned the Tigers to a Super Regional for the first time in over a decade.

Two of Bakich’s assistants will also get extensions.

Clemson Men’s Soccer coach Mike Noonan led his team to a National Championship, his second in three years.

Clemson Women’s Soccer coach Eddie Radwanski led his team to a Final 4 appearance in the College Cup.

Clemson Women’s Golf coach Kelly Hester led her squad into match play in the NCAA Championship.

The assistant coaches for Clemson Football will have adjustments to their contracts to cover bonuses for the new 12-team college playoff.

There were other notable items approved in this year’s budget outside of sports, including the right of way for a veterinarian school.

Other news and notes from around Clemson athletics:

Clemson Baseball has added another transfer to the 2025 squad. Luke Kissenberth is a right-handed pitcher from Simpsonville, South Carolina.

He played four seasons at The Citadel. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Clemson University will celebrate the 50th season of women’s athletics in 2024-25. The women’s side started with Clemson Women’s Basketball and Clemson Women’s Tennis, which will both be playing their 50th seasons this coming year. The theme of the celebration is “She will triumph”.

We know the House settlement that will allow in-house NIL is coming. The question is the timetable. According to Mit Winter, the next step will take at least a few months.
