Clemson Tigers News: Basketball, Tennis, Golf all in action this weekend

Five different Tiger squads were in action over the weekend both in Clemson and on the road.

Clemson Men’s Basketball 5, Virginia Cavaliers 66: The Tigers drop another important ACC game at home. Read Marty Coleman’s recap here.

The loss brings Clemson to 14-7 and 4-6 in the conference. The Tigers return to action in Chapel Hill against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Tuesday.

Clemson Women’s Tennis 4, Charlotte 49ers 2: The Tigers win at home against the Niners.

The next match is Saturday, February 10th when the Tigers host the Georgia Southern Eagles.

Clemson Women’s Basketball 75, Virginia Cavaliers 69: The Tigers get a road victory over the Wahoos. Day Harris led the team with 23 points and 9 assists. Amari Robinson added 19 points and Ruby Whitehorn brought down 9 rebounds.

Morgan Miller scored her 1,000th point for Clemson.

This is Clemson’s third win in a row. They are now 11-12 and 4-7 in the ACC. The Tigers next travel to South Florida to face the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday, February 8th.

Clemson Men’s Golf had four players participating in the Thomas Sharkey Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia. Read the recap from Clemson Athletics here.

Today’s Events

Clemson Women’s Golf is continuing the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in Palo Verdes Estates, California.

Clemson Softball starts its 2024 season this week. Rubbing the Rock will have a preview of their opening tournament soon. The Tigers will start their season on the road until February 23rd when they open their home schedule against Ole Miss.
