Clemson Tigers News: Baseball secures series win

Clemson won the second game of their series against Xavier, Women's Lacrosse moves to 3-0 on the season and Softball and Gymnastics fall short against their opponents.

Clemson Women’s Lacrosse 16, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 5: The Tigers move to 3-0 on the season with a win at the Clemson Lacrosse Complex. Freshman Jasmine Stanton scored a hat trick, and six other players scored at least two goals.

The Tigers will get their first big test of the new season on Saturday, February 24th as they travel to Durham to take on the 24th-ranked Duke Blue Devils.

Clemson Softball vs Auburn: Unfortunately, poor field conditions caused the cancellation of this contest.

Clemson Baseball 8, Xavier Musketeers 3: The Tigers secure the series victory on Saturday. Luke Hammond homered twice and Cam Cannarella extended his hitting streak to eleven games. The Tigers go for the sweep today.

Clemson Softball 3, Mississippi State Bulldogs 6: The Tigers dropped their last game in Mexico after the previous two games were canceled due to poor field conditions. McKenzie Clark hit a home run and scored twice in the contest. The Tigers continue their road trip this Wednesday against the Charlotte 49ers.

Clemson Gymnastics 196.000, NC State Wolfpack 197.575: The Tigers dropped their second match of the season to the Wolfpack, who won the ACC regular season title Saturday night. Here are Clemson’s high scorers:

Clemson Women’s Tennis was scheduled to compete against Coastal Carolina and Mercer on Saturday, but both contests were postponed. The next match on the schedule is at Syracuse on Friday, February 23rd.
