Clemson Tigers News: Baseball is one win away from hosting a Super Regional

Clemson Baseball defeats Coastal Carolina to remain unbeaten in Regional play
Clemson Baseball pulled out a 4-3 victory over a very competitive Coastal Carolina squad on Saturday evening to become the only undefeated team in the Clemson Regional. Aidan Knaak pitched six innings with six strikeouts. Jacob Hinderleider was 5-5 at the plate.
The Tigers advance today to the 6:00 PM game at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Their opponent will be the winner of the elimination game played at noon today between Coastal Carolina and High Point. The Panthers eliminated Vanderbilt yesterday 10-9.
If Clemson wins this evening, they will advance to the next round and host a Super Regional. If they lose, they will play the same opponent again on Monday.
The winner of the Clemson Regional will play the winner of the Stillwater Regional. Oklahoma State is in the driver’s seat there after beating Florida 7-1. The Gators will play Nebraska today to see who gets a shot at the Cowboys this evening.
