Clemson Tigers News: Men's Soccer, Elyjah Thurmon, Freshman All-Americans

Good afternoon! This is todayโs Clemson Tigers News.
Students have been taking exams this week, so there havenโt been many events occurring besides Clemson Football returning for bowl practices. Even Cade Klubnik had to miss practice because of an exam.
There is still news happening, however.
Clemson Menโs Soccer players are recognized for excellent play in the College Cup
Clemson Menโs Soccer star Ousmane Sylla has been named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the 2023 NCAA College Cup.
Sylla scored the winning goal in Mondayโs National Championship game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He is also a Mac Hermann Award Finalist.
His defensive teammate, Papa Mar Boye was deservingly named as the Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the tournament.
Four players were named to the All-Tournament team.
Joseph Andema, who was rock solid in this postseason for the Tigers.
Shawn Smart, who had that blistering strike against West Virginia.
Alex Meinhard, who has been the straw that stirs the drink for much of this season.
Brandon Parrish, who got the scoring started against Notre Dame.

Clemson Football gets projections for a 2024 offensive lineman
On3โs Chad Simmons has logged a projection for Class of 2024 offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon to Clemson.
Cory Fravel of 247Sports has also logged a Crystal Ball for Thurmon to Clemson with a confidence of 7.
Thurmon is expected to announce his commitment on Early Signing Day, which is December 20th.
Clemson Football freshmen receive honors
Three defensive freshmen for Clemson Football have been named to various Freshmen All-American teams.
- Peter Woods: College Football News and On3; also named Freshman Interior Defender of the Year by College Football Network.
- TJ Parker: College Football News, College Football Network and The Athletic
- Khalil Barnes: College Football News, College Football Network, On3, and The Athletic; named All-ACC by PFF.
