Stanford might be a newcomer in the ACC, but they arrive in Clemson with a point to prove.

Clemson goes into halftime up 17-7 despite being outgained 230 yards to 227. The Cardinals aren't going away easily as Stanford has done whatever it wanted on the ground in the first 30 minutes, racking up 168 yards rushing, with Stanford running back Micah Ford earning 103.

Ashton Daniels hasn't done much in the passing game, but right before heading into the locker room, Daniels hit Elic Ayomanor for a 19-yard touchdown.

After finishing with 26 yards rushing, Clemson got it rolling by doubling its total on a single run by Phil Mafah, bringing his average to 4.6 yards per carry after heading into the second quarter with 1.8 YPC. In the passing game, Cade Klubnik is playing a little sloppy, completing only 50 percent of his passes. However, he still has 141 yards and a touchdown at the break.
