Shades of Iowa- First Quarter of Clemson vs Georgia dominated by defense
Clemson's defense looks as good as advertised as the game heads into the second quarter scoreless.
The Tigers held Georgia to 43 yards of total offense while giving up only 14 yards on the ground. Bulldog's QB Carson Beck was accurate, though, completing six of seven passing attempts, but his longest pass of the quarter went for only 11 yards to Arian Smith.
Cade Klubnik started off on a sour note, underthrowing an easy pass to Antonio Williams on the first play of the game that would've been a first down. He went 5-8 in the first quarter. However, he recorded nearly 20 more yards through the air than Beck, most of which came on an electric grab from Antonio Williams.
