Stanford in for a rough day against Clemson according to the RTR staff Predictions
The Tigers look to extend their winning streak today as they take on one of the ACC newcomers, Stanford. The Cardinals lost their first game to TCU but have since beaten Cal Poly and Syracuse, starting 1-0 in conference play.
Clemson, on the other hand, has outscored its opponents 125-55, with most of the 55 points given up against its second team. Can the Tigers continue to dominate on the offensive side of the ball, or will Stanford's defense give Clemson trouble? Here are the RTR staff predictions
RTR Staff Predictions: Clemson vs. Stanford
Matthew
Since being shut down by Georgia in week one, Clemson’s offense has been dynamic the last two games, especially early. The Tigers outscored Appalachian State and N.C. State by a combined total of 101-20 in the first half. Now, they host Stanford, which has held the last two opponents to just 31 points combined.
In the end, the cross-country trip and the big-play Clemson offense will be far too much for Stanford to handle. The Tigers are tied for 19th in the nation in plays of 30 or more yards despite playing only three games. They will rack up several more of those as they take down the Cardinal on Saturday.

I don't know what happened with Clemson on week one, but its loss to Georgia has awakened a monster. The Tigers' offense has exploded, led by Cade Klubnik's 587 yards passing with eight touchdowns — the vast majority of which happened in the first half of Appalachian State and NC State.
Stanford is one of the new guys in town, and it's already clinched its first ACC victory. However, the Cardinals are about to be welcomed to the conference properly as they head into one of the hardest places to play in the ACC.
