Clemson Football Recruiting: What we know about Elite Junior Day

Clemson holds one of their most important recruiting events for the 2025 cycle this Saturday. This is the list of prospects that have been confirmed to be attending.

While many schools are still working on portal additions, Clemson Football has moved into the next recruiting cycle with the Class of 2025. One of the biggest events of that cycle is just around the corner.

The Tigers will hold their Elite Junior Day this Saturday, January 27th on campus. This is when the staff recruits many of their top targets for 2025 with hopes of convincing as many as possible to make an official visit in June. They also hope to get a few verbal commitments even sooner.

This is the list of players who have either publicly confirmed they will be attending or have been reported to be in attendance.

Jaylan Beckley

Beckley is an offensive tackle prospect from Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas. He is 6’-5” and 299 pounds. He is unrated by 247Sports. Beckley has confirmed on X that he will attend.

Gavin Blanchard

Blanchard attends Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida. He is an interior offensive line prospect rated as a 3-star in the 247Sports Composite. He stands at 6’-3” and weighs 300 pounds. TCI has confirmed his plans to attend.

Isaiah Campbell

TigerNet has confirmed Campbell will be at Elite Junior Day. He is one of Clemson’s top targets for this class. He is from Durham, North Carolina, and attends Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (typically known as Southern). He is 6’-4” and 260 pounds and is a 4-star defensive end prospect. He is ranked 70th nationally by 247. He has one Crystal Ball projection to Clemson.

Brett Clatterbaugh

On3 has confirmed that Clatterbaugh will be traveling to Clemson on January 27th. He is from Eastern View High School in Culpeper, Virginia. He is a linebacker prospect and is a 4-star. He is 6’-2” and 220 pounds.

Bryce Davis

Davis is from Greensboro, North Carolina, and attends Grimsley High School. He is a 4-star prospect ranked 64th nationally by 247Sports. Davis is listed as an edge prospect. TigerNet has confirmed that he plans to attend on Saturday.

Chauncey Gooden

Gooden is an interior offensive line prospect from Nashville, Tennessee. He attends Lipscomb Academy. He is 6’-4” and 320 pounds. He is ranked 217th nationally. TigerNet confirmed his plans to attend.

Elijah Griffin

Griffin is the overall 3rd ranked player nationally in the 247Sports Composite. He is a defensive line prospect from Savannah, Georgia. He attends Savannah Christian Prep. He is a 5-star and has one Crystal Ball projection to Georgia. He is 6’-5” and 285 pounds.

Brayden Jacobs

Jacobs is the son of former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs. He attends Buford High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. Jacobs is a 6’-7” and 320-pound offensive tackle prospect. He is rated as a 4-star and is 169th overall.

Mark Manfred

Manfred plays at Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Georgia. He is rated as a 3-star by 247 proper but is not rated in the Composite yet. TigerNet has confirmed his plans to attend. He is 6’-2” and 175 pounds. He is listed as a cornerback prospect.

Mason Short

Short had been verbally committed to Alabama but reopened his recruitment following Nick Saban’s retirement. He is 6”-5.5” and 320 pounds. He is an interior offensive line prospect and attends Evans High School in Georgia. Three Crystal Ball projections to Georgia have been entered in the past week.

Mal Waldrep

Waldrep is an offensive line prospect who attends Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. He is 6’-5” and 290 pounds. He is rated as a 3-star by 247Sports.

Ari Watford

AllClemsonTigers.com confirmed that Watford will be attending. He attends Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia. He is an edge prospect who stands 6’-5” and 220 pounds. He is a 4-star and is ranked 30th nationally in the Composite.

Jordan Young

TigerNet has confirmed Young’s planned attendance. He is from Monroe, North Carolina, and is listed as an athlete by 247. He is 6’-0” and 184 pounds. He is ranked 58th nationally in the Composite.

While this is the public list, it isn’t unusual for other names to end up attending. We just might not find out until after the weekend.
