Offensive line target commits elsewhere

Clemson Football has been courting several prominent players at the offensive line position this spring and summer.

Three athletes appear to be at the top of their wishlist: David Sanders, Hardy Watts, and Mario Nash.

At one point, it appeared that Nash was planning to extend his recruitment late into the fall, but those plans apparently changed.

Nash announced yesterday on X that he is verbally committing to his in-state program, the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

His choice is not a surprise. He has been projected to favor the Bulldogs for a while. The timing was simply ahead of expectations.

Clemson can probably expect a resolution on their other prime targets soon as well. The recruiting calendar is entering another dead period where visits are not permitted. Both Sanders and Watts are expected to announce decisions before the end of summer.

Quarterback target continues to gain momentum

Clemson offered two quarterbacks from the Class of 2026 this month. One, Brady Hart, has already announced a verbal commitment to Michigan.

The other, Tait Reynolds, appears to be the guy that Clemson has gone ‘All In’ on for this cycle. Reynolds was at the Flight Club 7-on-7 tournament this weekend and this highlight made the rounds on social media.

Reynolds has not played much football compared to his peers. He focused on baseball for a long time before giving football a chance. As such, he is only rated as a 3-star prospect at this time.

We can reasonably deduce that interest from programs like Clemson, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, along with exposure like the tweet above, will likely boost his profile over the coming months.

Reynolds has been verbally committed to playing baseball for Arizona State, and he would like to be a two-sport athlete if possible. It is expected that head coach Erik Bakich will get involved in Reynold’s recruitment at some point in the near future.
