Clemson Football has been recruiting defensive end Bryce Davis for a while. He was one of the first offers to the 2025 class.

While most of Clemson Nation’s focus has been on offensive linemen and wide receivers, Davis has quietly considered his options for college.

Davis will announce his decision on July 20th at noon.

Clemson is in his final four, along with Duke, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Davis hails from Greensboro, North Carolina, where he plays for Grimsley High School. As you can see, his final group of schools are all in the Carolinas or Georgia.

Davis is ranked 59th nationally in the 247Sports Composite. Davis had 27 total offers reported from FBS schools, including national powers like Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and USC.

He also had offers from North Carolina, NC State, and East Carolina, so proximity wasn’t the only factor he was considering, but clearly he didn’t want to venture too far from home.

There are four Crystal Balls logged on 247Sports favoring Clemson. Two are from insiders who follow Clemson, but the other two are from people who are part of 247’s coverage of the Georgia Bulldogs, suggesting even their sources believe the Tigers are in the lead.

Considering the proximity issue, no one should discount Duke. Manny Diaz is a well-respected defensive coach who is also a solid recruiter. He will need to overcome the Blue Devils' reputation for being outside of the national spotlight in most years, but it sounds like Davis might be open to that.

Clemson’s three defensive line commitments rank as the top three prospects in their class on 247Sports. The other end prospect is Ari Watford, a 6’-5” and 250-pound edge rusher from Maury High School in Richmond, Virginia.

If Davis selects Clemson, then he would be the fourth-ranked player in this class, putting all four D-Line recruits at the top of the list for the class.
