Clemson Football finishes 2024 cycle with zero decommitments
By John Chancey
Clemson Football had twenty verbal commitments from the Class of 2024 as they began the first day of the Early Signing Period.
By 8:30 AM, they had twenty signed National Letters of Intent.
This means Clemson Football finished the 2024 cycle without a single decommitment.
This is the first time a high school player has not decommitted from Clemson since the Class of 2020.
In the last cycle, Clemson had three decommitments. Two ended up elsewhere: Ray Ray Joseph and Reid Mikeska. The third, Zach Owens, re-committed to Clemson shortly after he decommitted.
Clemson had four decommitments in the Class of 2022 following Brent Venables’ decision to leave for the head coaching position with Oklahoma.
The Class of 2021 had two decommitments: Korey Foreman and Jordan Hancock.
There were multiple rumors of players looking elsewhere during the regular season, which is commonplace for most schools. In the end, none of the rumors turned out to be substantive.
This is the full list of all commitments to Clemson’s Class of 2024 as of right now.

Clemson is still in play for two more prospects today. Elyjah Thurmon and Mason Wade are offensive linement who will announce their destinations today. Thurmon will decide between his finalists.
Wade has been verbally committed to Duke, but he has been entertaining other options ever since Blue Devil head coach Mike Elko took the Texas A&M job and took his offensive line coach with him.
Several of these new commitments will be early enrollees, and a handful will be joining Clemson for bowl practices. The Tigers will play in the Gator Bowl on Friday, December 29th.
