Clemson Baseball did not advance from pool play in the ACC Tournament, but we know there will be more baseball for them to play. The Tigers are considered a lock to host a regional in the NCAA Tournament and have a good shot at a Top 8 seed.
The sixteen host sites for the NCAA regionals will be announced Sunday at 8:30 PM Eastern time. They are usually revealed on the NCAA website and social media.
The complete selection show will air on ESPN2 on Monday, May 27th at noon Eastern time. During this show, we will learn which regional hosts will have Top 8 seeds, the teams that will be in each regional, and how the regional winners will match up in the super regionals.
Each regional is a double-elimination tournament between the four teams. The winners will advance to the super regionals, which are a best-of-three series.
The eight winners of the super regionals will advance to the College World Series at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. They will play a double elimination tournament until two teams are remaining who will play a best-of-three series to crown the champion.
The Top 8 seeds are coveted because they will have home-field advantage through the regionals and super regionals if they advance.

D1Baseball is projecting the Tigers to be the 6-seed in the tournament. They project Clemson will host San Diego, Florida, and Bryant. If the Tigers advanced out of that regional, they would be matched up against the winner of the Stillwater Regional. Those four teams would be Oklahoma State, Dallas Baptist, Alabama, and Grand Canyon.
D1Baseball’s projections are simply educated guesses and are not guaranteed. There are also some teams still playing in their conference tournaments and today’s games could impact automatic berths and placement within regionals.
