5 Clemson Football games most likely to host ESPN College GameDay

Multiple Clemson Football games could be featured on College GameDay this season, but there seems to be a consensus about which one has the best odds.

No. 2: NC State Wolfpack at Clemson Football

Did I say Week 2 sucked? Well, you should look at Week 4. Woof (pun intended).

The Wolfpack added some intriguing offensive transfers this offseason. They are a fashionable choice right now to upset the apple cart in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

This will be one of the best games this weekend. There are just two hurdles for this game hosting GameDay, one of which I will address in a minute. The first hurdle is that one of the teams likely needs to be undefeated. I think ESPN would give Clemson a pass if they lose to Georgia. I don’t know if they give NC State a pass if they lose to Nico Iamaleava and the Tennessee Volunteers in Charlotte on September 7th.

Most likely destination: Utah at Oklahoma State – this might be flying under the radar for a lot of Clemson fans, but these two programs are among the best in the Big 12, especially with the changes at Arizona that have introduced an element of the unknown into their program. The Utes and the Cowboys could be in the Big 12 Championship at the end of the season. I also doubt that ESPN would want to feature Clemson just two weeks before their big matchup against the Seminoles because they very well might already be planning ahead (the second hurdle).

Other options: Tennessee at Oklahoma, TCU at SMU
