Can the 2025 season get here already? With all the hype surrounding Cade Klubnik and Clemson football, it's getting fans giddy for the season opener against LSU -- as if they weren't already.
A strong spring is in the books and the Tigers didn't exactly lose a ton of guys to the transfer portal and they did add three transfers of their own earlier in the offseason. Tristan Smith, Jeremiah Alexander, and Will Heldt all figure to make major impacts on the Tigers this upcoming season and we saw two of them standing out in the spring game.
On top of that, Clemson returns the most production in college football heading into 2025. Yes, a playoff team that won the ACC is returning the most production of any Power Four team.
Scary.
The Tigers also have one of the best quarterbacks in the country and a guy who some have regarded as the best gunslinger college football has to offer. There's been some debate on this, but Klubnik feels like most experts' top quarterback in the country.
Pro Football Focus agrees, calling him the top returning player at his position.

Klubnik deserves this type of recognition after a career year in which he threw for over 3,600 yards and had 36 touchdowns to just six picks and over 400 rushing yards. This title of top returning quarterback in college football is definitely earned.
As for the rest of the top returning players at each offensive position, it's tough to argue any of them as Jeremiah Smith is going to be a future top-10 pick, Eli Stowers is elite, Jeremiyah Love is also likely a future first-rounder, and Spencer Fano is dominant in the trenches.
Cade's quest to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2026 starts against LSU this fall.
