The 2026 NFL Draft is a full year away, but Clemson football fans are already looking forward to it as there figure to be a handful of Tigers selected early.
Clemson didn't have a player selected until the fourth round this year which was the first time in six years that the Tigers didn't have a first or second-round pick. This first-round drought won't last long, however, as Clemson has 4-5 guys who could drafted on Day 1.
Cade Klubnik, Peter Woods, TJ Parker, Avieon Terrell, and Antonio Williams have all been projected as first-round picks by different experts. Klubnik and Woods have both been talked about as No. 1 overall picks but there's one prominent outlet that has the latter as the top prospect in the 2026 class.
Just how good of a prospect is Woods? Yahoo! Sports listed him as the No. 1 prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft, even comparing him to Jets' star defensive lineman Quinnen Williams.
Woods was really good as a freshman, recording 26 tackles and three tackles for loss, but he became a star as a sophomore in 2024, finishing with 28 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and a forced fumble. He's been widely considered one of the best defensive linemen in the country and many consider him the nation's top tackle heading into the 2025 season.
Clemson is heading into the 2026 NFL Draft with two guys who could legitimately be the No. 1 overall pick and a few others who might flirt with the top 10-15.
The upcoming season should be special.
