Peter Woods was the subject of some rumors this past season, as there were talks of him transferring from Clemson to Alabama.

That made the Tigers' run to the playoff and subsequent elimination feel a little more stressful considering some believed the rumors and that Woods would leave to head back home after the season.

But the Alabaster, Ala., native cleared the air over the weekend, telling the media that he was just focused on Clemson's road ahead and he blocked out the outside noise. He said that the rumors of him transferring to Alabama after the season were just that -- rumors.

This is something we've all kind of come to see by now, but it's something that many wanted some transparency for and he finally cleared the air. He also said that if the team isn't feeling like it's worthy of a national title, what are they in it for? That kind of mindset is going to set this year's team apart from the previous ones that fell short of expectations.

Dabo Swinney has to feel good about the roster he has returning, especially the junior defensive lineman from Alabama who is expected to have a monster 2025 season.

Through two seasons and 23 total games, Woods has a combined 54 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. He's going to only be better this season as he makes a run at an All-American team selection as well as a national title.

And he'll be doing so wearing a Clemson uniform and not an Alabama one.
