The former Clemson Tigers standout has signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets, rewarding a steady climb through the NBA and G League ranks over the past year.

Hall, a 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward, joins Charlotte after producing efficiently with the Greensboro Swarm, where he has averaged 14.8 points and 9.1 rebounds while shooting better than 62 percent from the field.

A Familiar Fit

The opportunity comes in familiar territory. Hall spent time with Greensboro during NBA Summer League, helping the Swarm capture the franchise’s first Summer League championship while showcasing his versatility as a modern stretch big.

In limited minutes, Hall made an impression, averaging 9.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in just under 15 minutes per game. His ability to score inside, protect the rim and step out offensively aligned well with Charlotte’s developmental system — a factor that ultimately played into his return.

A Winding Pro Path

Hall’s latest deal is the result of steady resilience.

After going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Hall signed a two-way contract with the Denver Nuggets, appearing in 19 regular-season games while also producing with the Grand Rapids Gold.

He later secured another two-way opportunity with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he appeared in five games. His most notable outing came against the Miami Heat, when he posted seven points, three rebounds and a block in a career-high 14 minutes.

While his NBA minutes in Memphis were sporadic, Hall continued to deliver when given extended run in the G League. In his season debut with the Memphis Hustle, he erupted for 27 points and seven rebounds, reinforcing his value as a dependable frontcourt scorer.

Making It Count in Greensboro

After his release, Hall found his way back to Greensboro following a late-November trade with the Mexico City Capitanes.

Since returning, he has averaged 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists and 1.5 blocks per game, recording four double-doubles in 11 appearances. The production gave Charlotte confidence in a low-risk signing on a player already familiar with the organization.

Another Opportunity Earned

For the Hornets, Hall provides frontcourt depth and developmental upside. For Hall, it represents another earned opportunity — one forged through consistency, adaptability and patience.

And once again, the former Clemson star has put himself exactly where he wants to be: one step from sticking at the highest level.
