Despite being 0-2 against the spread at home this season, oddmakers have faith that No. 8 Clemson can win on the road by nearly a touchdown in a key ACC game.

The Tigers open the week as a 6.5-point favorite over Georgia Tech at DraftKings and FanDuel when the two teams square off in Atlanta on Saturday at noon. Clemson has a loss to LSU as a favorite in Week 1 before failing to cover a 30.5-point spread on Saturday against Troy.

It's the first ACC game for both teams. Clemson entered the season as the favorite to win the conference title, while Georgia Tech has made big strides under Brent Key and wants to make a run at the league crown.

The Yellow Jackets are 2-0 straight up and 2-0 ATS with wins over Colorado and Gardner Webb. The latter, a 59-12 victory, came without Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King, who was out due to a lower-body injury. Aaron Philo led an offense that put up 680 yards.

King's status for Saturday is unknown, but the ACC will require both teams to submit availability reports this week, so more on his injury should be known at a later date.

Clemson played without three starters in a 27-16 win over Troy. Their statuses, including WR Antonio Williams, will be know later this week. The Tigers rallied from a 16-3 halftime deficit to avoid what would've been a massive upset.

Still, Clemson has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five games against FBS teams, dating back to last season. However, the Tigers haven't lost to the Yellow Jackets since 2014, and they've covered the spread in seven of the last 10 meetings.

Bettors are already on the Tigers again. DraftKings has seen 69% of the bets come in on Clemson as of Sunday afternoon, but a lesser 55% of the money is backing the Tigers.

As for the moneyline, early money is on Georgia Tech, which is getting 59% of the handle but just 25% of the bets. The total is set at 53.5 points. More than 90% of the money has already come in on the under, which has taken 73% of the wagers.
