Coming off their first spread covered this season, Clemson continues to get respect from oddsmakers against another struggling team. The Tigers were a 14-point favorite in Week 6 at North Carolina, one of the worst Power 4 schools in the country this year, and Clemson easily cruised to a 38-10 victory in Chapel Hill.

This week, the Tigers (2-3 overall, 1-4 against the spread) stay on the road and visit Boston College (1-4 overall, 2-3 ATS, where Clemson opened as a 12.5-point favorite at FanDuel. The spread quickly moved to 13.5  by Sunday afternoon at both FanDuel and DraftKings.

The Tigers are -580 on the moneyline, and the early total is 53.5 points.

The Eagles have lost four consecutive games and are coming off a disastrous 48-7 loss at Pittsburgh, where the BC defense gave up over 500 yards to the Panthers. The Eagles were a 6.5-point underdog, and also failed to cover their last two games as a favorite. It’s hard to think this line will move against Clemson this week, which showed at UNC that it’s capable of taking advantage of bad defenses with explosive offensive plays, racking up seven snaps that went for 20 yards or more.

Head-to-head, Clemson has won the last 12 meetings with BC, and the Tigers are 6-4 in the last 10 showdowns. This will be the ninth consecutive game in the series that the Eagles have been a double-digit underdog.

Saturday’s game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the ACC Network. Check back later for updates with the weekly betting preview on Saturday morning.
