Every Tiger fan knows that making the jump from college legend to NFL star is all about landing in the right spot. Well, Cade Klubnik just landed in a place where he can let that Clemson magic loose.

The New York Jets saw what Tiger Nation has known all along and jumped up to snag Klubnik at No. 110 in the fourth round. Now, the national media is finally catching on to what we’ve been shouting from the rooftops—Cade’s got the tools to take over. FOX Sports even polled NFL scouts, and who did they pick as the top dark horse rookie ready to pull off a Brock Purdy-style breakout? You guessed it: Klubnik.

Sure, Klubnik’s final season in orange was a grind—battling through a thumb injury and a 7-6 finish that left all of us in Tiger Town wanting more. But NFL scouts haven’t forgotten the raw talent that once had him penciled in as a first-rounder. One scout told FOX Sports that Klubnik’s tape is loaded with jaw-dropping plays and a few bumps in the road—exactly the kind of adversity Tiger Nation has watched him conquer time and again.

“The tools are all there: the arm, the athletic ability, and he’s really smart. His big flaw is that he can be pressured into bad decisions,” the scout explained. “On the right team he could be good. Just keep the pressure off him and he’s got the skills to make things happen. But he has to be in a better situation than he’s in right now.”

Even after missing a few OTAs with a sore back, Klubnik has already turned heads in New York. Jets quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave has been right there with him all summer, sharpening the fundamentals and dialing in that Tiger arm. Musgrave is all-in—he can’t stop talking about Klubnik’s blazing 4.57 forty from pro day and the kind of athleticism Clemson fans have cheered for every Saturday.

The Jets see a blank canvas with Klubnik, and they’re itching to turn him into their next masterpiece. Tiger fans know he’s got the colors to make it happen.

“Cade's done well, Cade's jumped right in. He's very eager to get this thing and figure it out,” Musgrave stated regarding the rookie’s daily work ethic. “We kind of studied the grip on the football, he's got plenty good grip, so there's not a lot of slipping in mid-motion... He throws a nice, tight spiral and he really has a great skillset. I don't think we could be any more excited to work with the young guy than we are.”

Klubnik walks out of Death Valley as Clemson’s all-time completions king—916 passes right on target—and third in program history with 10,123 passing yards. If the Jets can keep him clean and let that Tiger magic loose, this fourth-rounder could end up being the steal of the whole draft. Don’t be shocked if Klubnik gives New York a front-row seat to the same fireworks that made him a Clemson legend.
