Although we're in the middle of June, football still feels like it's right around the corner. We are less than 12 Saturdays away from the start of the college football season and that means the NFL comes right after.
The 2025 season is expected to be great for Dabo Swinney and Clemson, but also some former Tiger stars in the NFL like Nate Wiggins who was drafted in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
In his rookie year with the Ravens, Wiggins had 33 tackles, a pick-six, and 13 passes defended. Not too shabby for a rookie on one of the best teams in the league. His stock rose after his rookie performance and many expect him to be even better in year two.
Pro Football Focus is incredibly high on the former Clemson defensive back, projecting him as one of the top breakout candidates on the defensive side of the ball in the NFL for 2025.

Wiggins is one of the bright young stars in the league and with him entering the 2025 season as a starting cornerback for one of the top Super Bowl contenders, he should be receiving plenty of hype, especially after how well he performed in 2024.
I'm obviously buying all the stock in Wiggins because we saw what he could do at Clemson and it looks like it's already translated to the NFL.
I wouldn't call what he did in 2024 a "breakout" but what he's about to do in his second year in the league absolutely will be. Don't be surprised if he becomes a household name for NFL fans sooner rather than later.
