Clemson will be traveling to L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium to face off against the 7-2 Louisville Cardinals on Friday. Here we will be previewing the game lines, total points over/under, team points over/under, and players’ props.

Spread, total points over/under, and Clemson Moneyline odds

ESPN BET has the latest spread at the Louisville Cardinals at -2.5 points. The line for ESPN opened at Louisville -3.5 but has dropped one point in favor of Clemson. In a one-score game, the Cardinals are not a significant favorite over Clemson, which is coming off a strong performance against Florida State to end a long home losing streak against Power 4 opponents. Florida State is now 4-5, but started the season very hot with a 31-17 win against Alabama.

The total points over/under is set for 51.5 points on ESPN BET. The total suggests this game should be a low 20s game with both teams being able to move the ball at times, but not as wide open as a shootout.

Clemson is a +110 odds to win the game outright over Louisville. The line being set at +110 shows that this game is very close in the eyes of the oddsmakers, with a slight edge going to the 7-2 Cardinals.

Team totals

Louisville has its team total line set at 26.5 on DraftKings; meanwhile, Clemson’s team total is set at 24.5 on the same sportsbook. The team totals reflect the spread being at -2.5 for Louisville. Based on how the Clemson offense has been performing of late, I think that the line of 24.5 total points might be a little low. If the Tigers want to win this game, they need to hit the over on this mark.

Player props

First, looking at the touchdown props, leading all players, Louisville’s Keyjuan Brown has the best odds to reach the endzone with -135 odds on an Anytime Touchdown Scorer. The Cardinal’s running back, Brown, has 457 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the season on only 66 carries this season. Clemson’s versatile Adam Randall is the next highest odds to score a touchdown with -130 odds to score. The next five players with the highest odds to score are Louisville’s wide receiver (-105 odds), Louisville’s running back Duke Watson (+100 odds), Clemson’s wide receiver Antonio Williams (+140 odds), Clemson’s wide receiver T.J. Moore (+155 odds), and Louisville’s wide receiver Caullin Lacy (+180 odds).

The two starting quarterbacks have the exact same odds, +255, to reach the endzone with their legs. Klubnik’s odds are likely lower because of the injuries that he has been dealing with in his lower body. The normal mobile quarterback would usually be much more of a threat to reach the endzone with his legs.

Moving on to the passing yards lines, FanDuel has set the line for Cade to have more passing yards with a line of 261.5 passing yards, with the over and the under having -114 odds. On the other sideline, Moss’s line is set at 245.5 with the over and under odds also set at -114. Both quarterbacks have a 1.5 passing touchdowns line, with Klubnik’s over at +102 and the under at -136 odds. For Moss, his over is at +114 and his under is set at -148.

Featuring two talented rushers, Brown’s over/under line for rushing yards is set at 79.5 (over and under: -114). For the Tigers, Randall’s rushing yards line is set for 50.5 rushing yards with -114 on the over and under. FanDuel also has Klubnik on the books for a line of 12.5 rushing yards.

Through the air, the seven players with receiving yards lines are Bell (80.5), Williams (67.5), Moore (58.5), Lacy (53.5), Tristian Smith (41.5), Randall (16.5), and Brown (11.5).

Friday’s game should be a close one between one team hoping to stay in the ACC Conference race and one team trying to scratch enough wins to make a bowl game in a disappointing season.
