After a frustrating start to the 2025 season, Clemson delivered its most complete performance yet, routing Boston College 41–10 on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill. The Tigers scored on six of their first seven possessions and never trailed, controlling the game from start to finish.
Quarterback Cade Klubnik completed 22 of 30 passes for 280 yards and a touchdown while adding 48 yards and another score on the ground. His command of the offense kept Boston College on its heels as Clemson rolled up 504 total yards and 28 first downs. The Tigers averaged 6.6 yards per play and held the ball for more than 37 minutes.
First-Half Explosion
Clemson’s offense clicked immediately. After Nolan Hauser opened the scoring with a 46-yard field goal, Adam Randall capped the next drive with an 8-yard touchdown run to make it 10–0. Boston College trimmed the deficit with a field goal, but Clemson responded with 24 unanswered points to close the half.
Defensive tackle Peter Woods scored on a 2-yard plunge early in the second quarter before Klubnik added a 6-yard keeper for a touchdown. On the next possession, Klubnik connected with Bryant Wesco Jr. on a 38-yard strike, pushing the lead to 31–10. Hauser’s 50-yard field goal as time expired sent the Tigers into the locker room up 34–10.
By halftime, Clemson had outgained Boston College 341–160 and was averaging nearly eight yards per play.
Defensive Domination
While the offense built the lead, Clemson’s defense made sure it stayed that way. The Tigers limited Boston College to just 214 total yards, including 78 rushing, and sacked the Eagles’ quarterbacks five times. Clemson also forced two turnovers and held BC to 3-of-12 on third down and 1-of-4 on fourth.
Linebacker Sammy Brown led the team with seven tackles, while Jahiem Lawson added two sacks. The defensive front consistently collapsed the pocket and stifled any attempt at a BC comeback.
Finishing Strong
With the game well in hand, Clemson continued to control the line of scrimmage late. Keith Adams Jr. capped the night with a 1-yard touchdown run in the final seconds, completing a 10-play, 60-yard drive that chewed up more than five minutes.
Bryant Wesco Jr. finished as the team’s leading receiver with 106 yards and a touchdown on five catches, while Antonio Williams added seven receptions for 85 yards.
