That LSU vs. Clemson football season opener is just a month away, and you can feel the excitement.
Fans can't wait to see the Tigers take the field against Brian Kelly and LSU and there has been plenty of talk about national title contention, Heisman Trophy contention, and ACC title favoritism, and that talk has gone national.
According to TigerNet, Joel Klatt talked about his 10 most impactful players in the nation heading into the 2025 season and about a third of them were Clemson Tigers.
That's right, Klatt believes that Clemson is home to three of the nation's 10 most impactful players, led by Cade Klubnik who came in at No. 3 on his list. He called Klubnik the best quarterback in the country and he has a chance to take a huge step in that offense with an elite receiving corps, solid line, top-five incoming running back, and Garrett Riley as the offensive coordinator.
It's hard to argue that logic.
The other two most impactful players from Clemson? Peter Woods and TJ Parker.
This isn't much of a surprise as these two are constantly talked about as legit candidates to be drafted No. 1 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. He listed Parker at No. 8 and Woods at No. 10.
Parker is considered the best edge rusher in the country, racking up 20 tackles for loss and 11 sacks last season. Woods complements Parker on the interior of that defensive line, racking up nine tackles for loss and three sacks last season, but the numbers don't tell the story of just how impactful and dominant he was in the trenches. He caused major problems for offenses.
Not only does Klatt believe that three of the nation's 10 most impactful players reside in Clemson, S.C., but he also says the Tigers are the No. 1 team he's buying stock in for a national title.
Good thing Clemson players don't read into their own headlines.
