Clemson heads into halftime with a 10-point lead over Pitt, 40-30. While the Panther pulled away early in the first period, Clemson fought back twice after two small Pitt runs. But midway through the half, the Tigers pulled away with their shooting from behind the arc.
Since the beginning of the season, Clemson has been a solid three-point shooting team, but today, they've hit elite status in the first half against Pitt. From the floor, the Tigers are shooting an outstanding 53.8 percent. However, of their 26 shots, 16 have been from the three-point line, knocking down 10 baskets. For those trying to do the math, Clemson is shooting an unbelievable 62.5 percent from deep.
The Hunter brothers are leading the pack with six three-pointers combined on seven attempts. Chase Hunter is 4-5, while Dillon is a perfect 2-2. They aren't alone, though, with Ian Schieffelin, Jaedon Zackery, Viktor Lakhin, and Jake Heidbreder all knocking down a shot. Only Chancey Wiggins and Myles Foster have yet to drain a three.
