Today, the Clemson basketball team will be in action again looking to move to 5-1 on the season. However, to do that, the Tigers will have to pass a sneaky-tough test.

Playing in the Sunshine Slam in Daytona Beach, Florida, Clemson will tangle with a 4-1 San Francisco team that could pose some problems if the Tigers don't play at their best.

So far this year, the Dons have been impressive. In fact, they have on their resume an 84-73 home victory over the same Boise State team that handed the Tigers their only loss of the season thus far.

Additionally, even in their one defeat this season, the Dons were impressive. In their last game, they took Memphis down to the wire before falling 68-64.

San Francisco has three players averaging over 11 points per game. That includes 6-foot-5 senior guard Malik Thomas who leads the team with a scoring average of 17.6 p.p.g.

Against Boise State, Thomas posted 22 points and 4 rebounds on 8-13 shooting. That is one of three 20-point games he's posted already this season.

Clemson will also have to deal with 6-foot-6 freshman guard Tyrone Riley IV who is averaging 16.0 points per game, second-best on the team. A 45.5% shooter from 3-point range, Riley has two 20-point games this season but both came against lower competition in the form of Cal Poly and Chicago State.

Should the Tigers win this game, they will likely face Penn State tomorrow in the championship game. That would be an interesting matchup as it would be Clemson's first game this year against a team from a power conference.

Of course, the Dons have to be dealt with first and they will view this game as a huge resume-boosting opportunity so the Tigers must take them seriously. So let's get ready for this game by taking a look at all the info fans need to know as the Tigers get set to do battle on the beach.
