Today, the Clemson basketball team returns to action looking to stay perfect in ACC play. Hosting Cal at Littlejohn Coliseum, the Tigers will try to stay atop the conference standings.
Meanwhile, the Golden Bears are just looking to get in the win column in their first year in the ACC. At 7-6 overall thus far, they have dropped games to rival Stanford as well as Pitt. They have also taken losses against No. 23 San Diego State, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Cornell.
Thus far, the best win Cal has secured was at USC back on November 17. That 71-66 road win is the only win Cal has secured on an opponent's home court in the 2024-25 season.
That doesn't mean that there is no talent on the Cal roster. 6-foot-7 sophomore guard Andrej Stojakovic leads them in scoring at 19.1 points per game. He has scored no fewer than 10 points in every game he's played this season. If the former McDonald's All-American has a familiar name, it is because his father Peja spent 13 years in the NBA where he was a 3-time All-Star.
While the Tigers will have to keep Stojakovic in check tonight, the expectation is that head coach Brad Brownell's team will handle it's business. Cal comes into this game ranked just No. 123 in the NCAA NET Rankings and has lost five of its last six games.
Still, Clemson fans will want to tune in because the Tigers are trying to keep pace with Duke atop the ACC standings as both teams enter the day 3-0. Duke has a tricky road game at SMU on Saturday so there is a chance that the Mustangs could pull the upset and give Clemson a chance to sit alone atop the conference table by day's end.
So here's a look at the gameday info fans need ahead of this contest. We'll start by looking at the broadcast info.
