For a long time, folks said Clemson had to look far and wide—up north, out west—if we wanted to land the big-time basketball talent. But take a walk through Littlejohn and glance up at those banners. Then point your car toward Charlotte. The new Tiger standard was built right here at home, and it starts with PJ Hall.

The PJ Effect hits different. He stayed home, shattered records, and now he’s lighting it up for the Hornets, shooting 50% from the field. PJ is living proof for every elite kid in the 803, 864, and 704: you don’t have to leave to make it big.

The "Will Stevens" Statement

Wondering if the pipeline is real? Just check out Will Stevens. He’s a 6-foot-10 four-star from Huntersville, the top prospect in North Carolina, and in the old days, he’d be suiting up for one of those Tobacco Road teams. Not anymore. Will Stevens is coming to Clemson, and he’s bringing that No. 1 ranking with him.

"Our staff identified Harris [Reynolds], Will [Stevens], and Amare [James] nearly two years ago and made them a priority," Brad Brownell recently noted. That priority is paying off because local recruits can now see a direct path from the Upstate to the NBA. When Will Stevens watches PJ Hall suit up for the Hornets, he doesn't see a dream—he sees a destination.
